Happy Birthday Aunt Audene

Today we visited Aunt Audene to wish her a happy birthday (which was Monday). We brought along some yummy chocolate cupcakes that Sydney and Lauren helped decorate and eat. I helped eat some too, of course.

We brought her and the girls a little thank you gift for watching the children on Saturday while Aaron and I went to the temple. They all survived and we are very grateful to them for giving us some time away. We had a good time at the temple and look forward to going again soon. Although, I do need to mention the little accident we had just as we were getting close to our exit in Columbia. The first words out of Aaron's mouth after he realized we had been hit were - "We're gonna make some money off of this ." Luckily, no one was hurt and nothing major is wrong with the car, just some scratches and scrapes that blend right in with the rest, but we did miss the temple session. So we headed down the rest of the way, anyway and found out we could do some sealings, instead. And what a special time it was to be in the sealing room with Aaron and much of his family. Brings back memories of 6 years ago when we were married. A very special day in my life. Anyway, I'm rambling.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Audene and Happy Birthday to Uncle Jason, too. Hopefully we'll see you Saturday at the Simms gathering at the lake.

Keep Checking

Okay. I think I've got the hang of this. I've blogged through September, as you'll see below. Please keep checking back and make some comments and I'll keep on adding more and more and more as we move on with our lives. I hope you enjoy it.

Sydney's First Day of Preschool

Sydney started preschool a couple of weeks ago. She goes 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 9:00 - 1:00. She loves it! She is learning so much and making lots of new friends. Here are some pictures of her first day.

Wyatt, the boxer

Yes, he could be a boxer. He is always moving. Bobbing up and down. And those fists are always throwing punches - so you better watch out!

Oh, the children

Now, I know most of you don't care too much about what I am doing. You just want to see the kids, so here are a few pictures I took tonight. Yes, they are the cutest kids that you'll ever see.

Mario Lopez

Well, just to get more experience in posting to this blog, I will continue with some recent happenings. This past Friday me and the kids and my mom went to the Southern Women's show at the merchandise mart. Oh, I expected to come home frazzled and frustrated from forcing my children to walk with us through the rows of booths and chaos, but to our surprise they all behaved very well and to top it all off I was pleasantly surprised to have seen Mario Lopez, who spoke and signed autographs at the show. Now, he is no comparison to my cutey pie of a husband, but I must admit that I do take a liking to latin men who can dance. By the way, Dancing with the Stars starts tomorrow night. I am so excited.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities to post Aaron's picture on this blog so I will now take this opportunity to share Mario's photo. He is very cute, although I must say, he is much smaller in real life. Hmmmm...I wish people would say that about me.

New Blog

Hi everyone. I am attempting to start a blog to share pictures and family happenings with everyone who might be interested in viewing them. This will include information and pictures of our family which includes me, Maureen, (There probably won't be any pictures of me since I am the photograper and I also hate to be in pictures. So it works out well that I'm the photograper.) Aaron, my fabulous husband, and our five children, Alex, Wesley, Sydney, Lauren and Wyatt. Please excuse any odd happenings on this blog as I familiarize myself with the process and learn the ropes of blogging.

And for my first experiment, I will post a picture. Here is the most recent photo of the family minus me and Wyatt at the beach this summer (June 2007). We don't have a current picture of the whole family since Wyatt has been born. That is on our list of things to do. Here it goes.
